World Expo

The World Expo had become an international event that is held every five years, with the purpose of educating the public by showcasing the latest innovations, advancement of knowledge, future directions in development, and offering assistant to mankind. This world-class event will help leverage country development by creating learning opportunities to the latest innovations from various nations from all over the world, as well as learning advancement and the development of science, technology, folk wisdom, cultural heritage, and history of countries around the world.

  • The World Expo was first held over a century ago in the United Kingdom in 1851, and had become an international event that is held every five years, with the rotation of host countries that are the members in the Bureau of International Expositions or BIE.

BIE (Bureau International des Expositions)

International Registered Exhibition held once every five years, with a duration of no more than 6 months and has no limitations of size of landscape holding the event.

International Recognised Exhibition held twice between two International Registered Exhibition's, the duration of the event should exceed three months and the exhibition area should not exceed 250,000 square meters.

International Horticultural Exhibition held twice between two International Registered Exhibition's, but should leave a two year gap from the most recent International Horticultural Exhibition.

In the past, The World Expo was named in various ways, such as, Universal Exhibition, International Exhibition, International Exposition, and Exposition Universal. However, the name has been changed and remained to be World Expo, which we are all familiar with.
